Skylar remembers there first meeting as 'love at first sight' how he gallantly saw her in distress and came to her aid sparking the beginning of a wonderful relationship and many joyous years together

Skyla however remembers that time a little differently ... she was awoken by an almighty snap as a bolt that must have been formed by the Stormcatcher himself shattered the downcast sky by it and subsequent bolts she was able to make out a small figure huddled on the open plain she would have thought it a rock if it wasn't for its blue wings standing out against the mottled earth
As she looked at that small figure the first fleeting through across her mind was:

"What kind of idiot stays out in the open in a storm like this ?!"

She was sensibly hunkered down behind a bolder which blocked most of the winds powerful gusts not entirely sure how she got there but certainly sure that it was her own wise decision that got her there

As the storm raged on for many more hours the little figure on the open plains didn't stir Skyla bravely went out an poked it a few times when there was a momentary lessening of the weather but still it did not move

Just as she was beginning to drift to sleep she sensed movement behind her turning her eyes locked with that of the strange figure ... and then promptly got smothered by him

Skyla has a no-nonsense attitude and will not tolerate stupidity - which makes her relationship with Skylar interesting to say the least to an outsider and in fact most of the clan she appears not to be able to stand Skylar and she has a particular grudge over that whole naming debacle (She came up with her own name after watching that epic thunderstorm and is rather frustrated with Skylar 'stealing' it) however she does have a soft spot for him really as he can be really rather sweet - he once flew into a thorn bush trying to catch her favourite insect treat and was such a sorry sight after that all covered in spines and dust with this pitiful expression and half dead butterfly hanging out his mouth she couldn't help but feel a little affection towards him

Skyla like Skylar although an original member of the clan does not have a leadership role her impatience and capricious nature means she lack the diplomatic skills and patience needed to make the important decisions instead she acts as a look out for the savaging parties she is exceptionally agile and has eyesight that would shame an eagle and her impatience is just what is needed to get quick response in an emergency situation
