Biography

Status: Wild Queen
Bio:

It was never her fault she was born the smallest breed of dragon and presumably the easiest to conquer. When Prickle went out to start her own clan, it was her greatest desire to create a clan of the most fearsome group of dragons people only hear about in legends, and she wanted to be the strongest and most feared fey who lead them all into the hunt.

Prickle started with just her and a male guardian, a mighty breed of dragon she would be fine with having hatchlings with and starting her clan right on the path she so desired. They started their family early.

The third member of her clan was yet another guardian, which pleased the alpha female greatly. As soon as she was able to, Prickle started leading her first troop of Hunters that included her mate and their new guardian, Aidrerth. It was during the hunts did she realize just how weak her mate was in comparison to their new companion. Not only did he lack the strength, but he wasn't as into the game as they were. When confronting him about it, he insisted the clan "didn't need to be made of blood-thirsty heathens", that they needed to be respectful of other clans and territories, empathy and compassion was essential to keeping a big clan together. In the end, Prickle disapproved and started paying more attention to whom she would later call her first Captain of the Hunters. Shortly after their newest dragon, Archleone, arrived and took the former alpha male's place in the hunting party, he had vanished from the clan. Prickle did not grieve.

Her children had long since hatched, two beautiful fey whom she would be proud to make her heirs. The Clan of the Wild Hunt was forming just as she had envisioned, neighboring tribes of prey grew frightened of them and word was starting to trickle through the forest about the fearsome clan, Prickle was on the path she had been wanting to build since she was a small fey and everything was going according to plan. Until her children passed away.

It was so sudden, she hadn't even noticed there was anything wrong with them. They hadn't gone to hunt just yet, and neither of them showed signs of sickness. Distraught and heartbroken, Prickle had halted her hunting parties to mourn over her lost children, her heirs, and the only ones who could reach the tenderness of her heart. This was what first cracked her proud little heart.

The second crack was when the outsiders arrived. Arcane, they were, claiming their last clan was unfit for them and they desired to find a new home. At first, she had a mind to turn them away, as they were from foreign lands and she had no need for dragons who couldn't fight. But it was the fey, Helena, who convinced her to let them stay. She was a native to the Nature realms and her son--the pearlcatcher--couldn't be exposed to the sunlight and needed to seek refuge under the shade of the trees. She was a mother doing her best for her unhealthy child, regardless of his age. Relating to the mother, Prickle accepted them in.

Prickle is no longer as ruthless and powerhungry as she once tried to be. She's grown soft and a little more compassionate towards fellow dragons, allowing mercy to be part of her clan. She herself doesn't do much hunting nowadays, but still her clan is seen as one to not be tampered with, which is just fine for her.
