It has been an amazing day for Canterbury. Dazzle and Wyrd sleepily made their way out of hibernation and *** brought home another little one, Aikio.Three daughters, Three.

It has been quite some time since we checked in on one of our favorite dragons. Canterbury finds he has grown quite content over the last year. He is still uncertain of his future but, has decided it is best to live in the here and now.
He has fallen madly in love with his charge, little Wyrd. She is so much more that she appears. He would give his life for her. She is his forever baby. Oh, how he misses her and Dazzle.
He has thought from time to time about trying to nest with one of the many females at FableHaven but, then he thinks some more and doubt creeps in. He thinks he might make a good father one day.
He would love to nest with Dazzle as she is his very best friend. But, would it work? She and Wyrd decided they wanted a break from the world and went into hibernation. Oh how he aches for them. He misses Dazzle's fun loving antics and naps with his little daughter. 'Daughter?' Had he really thought that? Yes, he had.

Sheeva has felt the sadness growing in the mighty Canterbury. Though she hibernates her very soul is connected to her clan. She feels his ache and has sent a dream to Notice. She has seen that far away there is a soul in need of love, care and protection. She has sent Notice on a journey to retrieve said soul.

Notice returned from her journey late in the evening and called for a private meeting with Canterbury. As Canterbury entered Notice's quarters, he saw a small bundle tucked up under her table. Two little eyes watched him curiously. He could see in her eyes that she was more than she appeared. He saw wisdom there. Where had he seen that look before? He gulped in a great amount of air as it came to him. Wyrd, it was the same look she had. But, this was not Wyrd. "Her name is Suleika. She needs you, Canterbury. What say you?" Without hesitation Canterbury replied "Yes." And thought to himself. 'I have another daughter.'

That night Canterbury and Suleika didn't sleep. He kept her up all night with stories of her new sister and mother. Should he be thinking of Dazzle as their mother? He didn't know. But, his heart danced when he did. He couldn't wait for Wyrd and Dazzle to awaken. He knew they would just love Suleika. Deities knows he already did. Can you fall madly in love this many times?

For 3 months Canterbury has lived among the FableHaven Clan. It has been wonderful.
He finds himself thinking, now and then, about things he once deemed impossible. Things like family, trust, and maybe a mutual respect. Mutual respect was as close to love as he would ever get. He would never allow love to bind or blind him again.
That's why he cares so much for his best friend, Dazzle. She is great. Happy, fun, just plain full of life and she is a dreamer.
They were paired together by Sheeva his second day here.
She's made him see the world a little bit differently. He's told her things he has never dared to tell anyone else. She has become his cornerstone. An anchor in the turbulence of his life. Has he finally found some semblance of the peace he craves? Maybe one day she can help him to see himself differently as will. Probably not. But, he will take whatever small happiness he could find. Baby steps as they say.
Speaking of baby steps. A new arrival to FableHaven has Canterbury feeling rather out of sorts.
This arrival came in the form of a tiny baby. His "HIS" (and of course also Dazzle's) new ward. What was Sheeva thinking? Has she gone mad. Canterbury is no babysitter. He is a battle hardened warrior. What in name of Sorenth was he going to do. Deities he felt ill. "I need to lie down." he whispered to Dazzle. Who remarked that it was, what had she called it, Wyrd's nap time and that it was a great idea. Umm...

Oh, great. Now everyone was staring at him. What were they thinking? Could they see the truth of him? Did they know he was a no account beast?
"Ah, Dazzle, my dear. May I introduce Canterbury. Canterbury, this is Dazzle. She will be you guide. She will help you settle in. I have work to do. Dazzle, love. You know what to do. Canterbury, I will meet with Notice later. She is the head of our Coli Teams. She will be in touch soon. Good day, children." Seconds later he was left alone with Dazzle.
He has been with her ever since. Well, except when working.}

On this day the mighty Canterbury tossed himself on the auction block. Alas, His forever home was not to be.
As always, the FableHaven clan is out to find those in need of a good home. Those, who are unwanted or orphaned. They are welcome here.
And Canterbury with his might and bravery has been welcomed into the League of Warriors. And will join the Elite hunting team. As we see one warrior off to a new home, where he will help many others, we welcome his replacement, Canterbury to the fold.
As always, the FableHaven clan is out to find those in need of a good home. Those, who are unwanted or orphaned. They are welcome here.
