War raged around her egg where it lie forgotten, presumed dead. A tiny crack belied what lay within- the beating heart of a daughter of the dieties, queen in her own right. And queen she would be. Both vicious and wise, she ruled a massive army of shadetouched until they fell in combat against an emperor borne in the water. Her kingdom crushed, her army destroyed, she fled into the plaguelands.

Masquerade lives at the edges of the clan territory, racing about on her powerful hind legs and hunting unsuspecting prey. She refuses to submit to the rule of the much older Adar. Ferociously protective of the clan she lives with, dragons that find themselves in their territory often wind up on the wrong end of her jaws. Rumors circulate that if you look closely enough, you can see the marks from her teeth on their bleached bones.
