Biography
- Dearbhail (dare-voll) is Irish Gaelic for true desire.
- an embodiment of flora with the rarest of beauty, Dearbhail grew up wild and carefree. her fae clanmates crooned and sang of her dainty fairy-like beauty, showering her with gifts, jewelry, and other adornments that complimented the rosy pink of her wings. she never understood why, she never understood. she was just Dearbhail, nothing more. praise and gifts? she could do without them, beauty was nothing more than a bothersome concept. she wanted to be free, she wanted to play, she wanted to explore. she just wanted to be Dearbhail and nothing more.
- she envied autumn and the flower petals that fell and scattered the forest floor as the air got colder. petals free to do whatever they wished; so expressive and yet, silent and not a single ounce of emotion they had to portray. as a fae, she lacked the ability to express and read emotion, but if she had one wish in her entire life span, it would be to do exactly that. her second autumn is when she stumbled upon her own set of petals. she set out on one of her adventures, but this time with a drive she'd never felt before. like a butterfly attracted to nectar, she stopped after days of darting from between trees and brush and came to halt under a meadow scattered with wildflowers and trees. as she took in the sight of petals and leaves floating gently down to the ground, she set her eyes on her petals. her own set of petals- violet, free, wild, poetic, and as expressive as she ever wished to be.
- although she likes to adventure on her own, Dearbhail is far from a solitary creature. she enjoys talking to other dragons and as hard as it may be for them to gauge her interest and the feelings she tries to portray, she makes friends easily and has an abundance of dragons she's proud to call her friends. and while she may dislike the attention her many admirers shower her with, there's no denying that she enjoys being under the spotlight when she sings- and only when she sings. whispers echo through the forest air, filtering through leaves and branches; whispers of a syren of the stars.
