______ You would find many strange things in the swamp, from odd colored dirt to leaves that were half submerged. However, most everyone would agree that Emerald was the strangest, and Safadel just as strange. They were also almost opposites- Emerald hated social interactions and preferred a hermit life, while Safadel.. Well, she enjoyed a life of cackles as someone fell for her new trick. Of course, a loner and a trickster wasn't too out of the blue, but together you might call them strange.

______Safadel pestered Emerald, frequently. Once she learned he hated physical contact, boom, she was all up in his tiny grill. Once she found out he didn't like talking, bam, she wouldn't stop moving her mouth. His peaceful swamp was disturbed greatly. Emerald did do an alright conversation, but he was snappish and clearly didn't like Safadel in his swamp. Well, he didn't at first.

______ Over time he started to get used to the pearlcatcher, and she him. He learned to expect someone in his swamp, and when there was only him he admitted he was a bit agitated. Physical contact wasn't as distressing anymore, and maybe a bit pleasant. Of course, although they might just have feelings for eachother, they can both the wild fires- snappish and confident.
But, they still had bonds, and that's a fact, and I'd say there adorable, if a bit strange.

-keeps invading poor Emerald's cave
-loves teasing him and flustering him
-knows he hates physical contact, so she's always twining their tails, bumping wings, nuzzling his neck, etc. He's starting to enjoy it though
-fondly calls him "Nessie" after she found a copy of a children's book about the Loch Ness Monster, called "Nessie" in the book, inside Emerald's cave
-he hates it so much
-always tries to get him to build her traps
-their relationship is mainly Safadel teasing/pestering Emerald, him responding with a snide comment or telling her to go away, and them just being overall adorable together
-They really do love each other though
