The loyal mate of Queen Safra, Anistar is the leader of the Clan of the Lapping Waves' ancient line of Oracles. His parents were killed in the civil war that ended the original clan, and Anistar dreamed of rebuilding it. When he met Safra, Anistar believed he'd found the key to saving his clan. All of the Tidelord's whispers had spoken of how she'd rebuild the clan and make it even stronger than it had been before. Everything was perfect.
Until the Tidelord went silent.
Anistar was terrified, he had no idea what to do. His clan was famed for their prophetic abilities, and would lose any prestige it had regained if the prophecies stopped coming. Safra gave him a simple solution: lie. Anistar and his oracles have now claimed to be the last group who can hear the Tidelord, and make up prophecies just generic enough to seem true. But when the gig was up, the Clan retaliated. Anistar and Safra were given a sleeping potion meant to put them into an eternal slumber. As Anistar drifted off, he felt...different...
...He awoke. His memory faded, his body altered, and his past life cast to the wind, Anistar's awakening is unknown to the rest of the Clan. The hatchlings claim to see a monster on the outskirts of their territory, but few believe them.
