Onyx

Onyx is an extremely kind and selfless dragon, dedicating his time to anyone who seeks help. He is the second of the "adopteds" and loves spending time with Arown, Valencia, Aster, and Sothis. He is incredibly close with Arown, as the two were together since they were very young. They took to each other right away. They also have other bonding factors, such as both being Pearlcatchers and both being from Nature.
As said before, Onyx just loves to help people. It doesn't matter if it's a stranger or one of his closest friends, Onyx will drop everything to help someone despite who it is. He volunteers a lot of his time at the center of his clan's former part of the Zephyr Steppes (which they shared with other clans, like neighbors but just spaced apart enough for good privacy) teaching, entertaining, and taking care of hatchlings. He is renowned in the area for being the one they love the most. He runs almost an unofficial daycare, where parents know their hatchlings will be safe. The older hatchlings and teens love to go to him for advice, or tease him and steal his cabbie.

History
Like the other adopteds, Onyx stayed in touch with his birth parents. His father, Disonance, disapproved of him for the same reason Solaris disapproved of Arown: he lived in a "different" clan. (See Arown's bio for an explanation of that) He also disapproved of him because he didn't have "handsome" genes, wasn't a great and powerful dragon like him, and wasn't a Skydancer like him.
However, Onyx's mother, Clementine, loved him and was ever-accepting. Though it took some time for her to clearly see the ways of a different clan, she came around quite quickly. Clementine was a kind and gentle dragon, and its likely that Onyx gets some personality genes from her.
Onyx also had a Skydancer sister, Sly. She was quite a plain dragon, dull and boring and often sarcastic and a bit rude, but Onyx visited her and loved her anyways. He was so excited when she had hatchlings, one of which grew up non-exalted and named. His name was Talamir.
But, Sly was exalted and so was Talamir. It was a terrible shock and loss to Onyx. But, soon after, he found he had another half sister who was alive. Clementine was her mother but Disonance wasn't her father. She was unnamed, but Onyx called her Ambrosia since her colors reminded him of it. Onyx also noticed that he kind of resembles her and is very happy about that. But soon, Clementine was exalted. Both Onyx and his half sister were devastated when it happened. Dissonance starved soon after, after having more hatchlings with other dragons. (Clementine was never his mate) But, sometime after this, Onyx's sister got named! She was named Dawn, which wasn't Ambrosia but was still fitting. Onyx and her celebrated greatly.
And soon after this, the clan tender came across an unhatched wind egg while gathering. It was hatched, and out came a Mirror who was promptly named Serin. The clan debated over who would parent him, or whether or not the whole clan should raise him. Dragons suggested Valencia, but she declined as she didn't really want to raise anyone. Onyx, realizing that he didn't want biological children or a mate, volunteered. He raised Serin to be a helpful young lad, just like himself.
