Biography

A young nature flight mirror dragon. He is devoted to the Gladekeeper and fights in her name. He had at one point wanted to go and work for his deity but later changed his mind. With the current state of his situation he has lost his devotion to the Gladekeeper. Not out of anger or rage but his state of mind has changed with coming to live in the Inn.

He loves his mother, Luna, but her aloof personality makes her hard to talk to. He adores his father, Veles, who with Astrid are the clan's hatchingling minders. He will talk at length about his former clan. The only thing he will not talk about is his brother, he won't even mention his brother's name. If pushed to do so he will become enraged and demand a duel or match.

He left his clan in search of answers to his brother 's condition. Not finding anything answers or clues in The Behemoth itself. He left to the only place he could think of that could do such cruel things; The Wyrmwound. Surely they had what he was looking for.

It didn't take long for him to realize his mistakes. If Vidarr thought the Shattered Plains of Dragonhome were harsh the Wandering Contagion would be a lot worse. The change in scenery was instant. The "line" between rock and membrane was hugely unsettling. Tendrils stretching outwards, wrapping,digging... Invading the plains. It made the young mirror sick looking at it. It almost made him puke the moment he had to walk through it and smell the pestilence.

He had made it far enough into the Rotrock to know 3 things 1) the hostility towards him being nature as far more real than expected. 2)He was sick. His spotted mith was the first to notice and continuously flew out to find anything to help treat whatever he caught to no avail. 3)he was going to die here. He had barely slept, ate,or drank anything since he traveled into the scarred wastelands. Not trusting the land to enough to actively poison him. Either way it didn't matter; he still fell victim.

So much pain. heavy and painful breaths....Vidarr consider for a moment if he was actually alive or not. He couldn't really feel his limbs but his head felt like it was being beaten with log, his lungs filled with liquid, his eye site blurred, and hearing was ringing. He had to be alive unless he to had been cruelly brought back. trapped to be tormented by his pain and worse maybe become like his brother. To his luck in the moments between consciousness and sleep he gathered bits of information to his current status: he was a alive. Sick but very much of this world. Three dragons tended to him during his time immobilized by his sickness; well at least two of them... the third seemed fine with him dying. Faster preferably by the sound of their voice. Two weeks passed before he finally regained his strength to open his eyes. His hearing no longer had ringing noises and the breathing was only slightly more comfortable. Struggling to make a sound the raspy groan alerted his caretakers. They rushed into the room standing over him. Finally he thought. Vidarr could now see the drakes who saved him. If only he didn't immediately lock eyes on him. Just like that he passed out.

Vidarr was rudely awoken by the feeling of being tossed out of his bed. He was still recovering but at least now he could pull himself up. That's when he overheard two familiar voices coming from the room he could assume he was in. "sis! He's not in full health. Don't toss him out like that!" The first voice sounded disappointed. There was a hint of worry for the young mirror that much he could tell.

"He spoke, moved, and no longer showing any symptoms as far as I'm concerned I can toss him out. It's not his room" He easily recognized that voice; the one less than thrilled to have him and all more willing to let him die. "Kasios. He's a guest! Now I'm going to see if he's okay and I expect you to fix him a new room since you're so eager to kick him out of this one" "I'm not fixing nothing. He hasn't paid for anything we've done. Burning though our resources and our time for not even one coin? You must be kidding" Kasios replied back more agitated. He didn't want this to continue and quickly interjected himself in

"I'll pay you back!" Vidarr shouted that louder than he intended hurting his throat in the rocess. Both dragons turn their attention to him. One a Bogsneak and one a mirror. It was easy to tell who Kasios was... As if her red glaring eyes weren't the dead give away she had some of the other's mirror's trinkets in her claws.

"with what money? you don't have anything of value in your bag. Unless you're willing to feed me you moth" "no,no,no. NOONE is going to do anything. Da- I...mean Sarcoma told us to tell him when our guest come about. There's no debt! You promised!" the bogsneak exsbratly told the other "Lora, please. You honestly expect me to promise that? We took in an idiot with a death wish. Arkanis should have left him to rot" She puffed her chest walking out the room when Lora cried "you pinky promised..." The mirror stopped in her tracks snarling at Vidarr before looking back at Lora "fine" the young mirror promptly shoved his belongs at him before storming off "I'm sorry for my sister's behavior... she's uhhh testy around some... well most dragons" Lora was now hovering near him; checking for any bruises. "I- We will be right back.... I'm sorry for all this"

Hours passed by until a mirror named Okoye guided Vidarr to a pair of ornate doors. Pushing them open he saw a mess of paperwork, money, silks, and bamboo shoots. From the desk something wriggled it's way out of a stack of books. However Vidarr wasn't ready to see the thing that made him pass out last time was real. A long blood colored spiral with many, many eyes moving out from the books and desk the Spiral smiled and coiled up next to Vidarr "You look like you've seen a ghost" he chuckled "now ,now relax. why don't you sit over there and I'll fetch you something to eat" said the spiral in a cooing voice. The red blur of eyes left and the mirror was left to think what in the gladekeeper's name had he gotten himself in? He remembers the rotrock but this place was like a hotel or inn. That's a load of nonsense. An Inn this far into plaguelands? you'd have to be crazy. yet the more Vidarr snooped around the more he found support such a theory.

Too busy snooping he didn't realize the spiral had came back with a plate of food or that he set a table for him either. "Care to take a break from all my paperwork for some food?" the spiral chirped. The young dragon felt immensely guilty "I'm sorry" quickly escaped from his mouth but the spiral brushed it off as he ushered Vidarr to his food "Eat up! you've been out cold for weeks. I can tell you've lost weight and I can't have my residents starve now can I?" His host sat across from him chewing on one of the shoots scattering across the room.

"the name is Sarcoma. If you didn't find that out through all my papers. Welcome to the Dead Maw, an inn providing safe passage through these lands if you know where to spot our posts. Other than that we host a variety of strangers, friends, and germs. however for those last customers we have a special section made for them as to not infect the whole inn" Just as casually Sarcoma said that he gave Vidarr a smile of confidence "now that out of the I'd love to know your name. Unless you don't mind being called Rotala. I hear they're a very hearty plant"

"the name is Vidarr. Ex-Swarmer of the Devil's Lantern. my parents are the founders of it. I'm came here for answers" the mirror tried his hardest to keep a confident stare at his host but he couldn't help be thrown off by the multiple eyes looking back at him.

"Answers out here? Child there's nothing here but waste. The life here has nothing to do with a young nature dragon as yourself. More importantly no answer should be more important than your life." Vidarr bit his tongue at the spiral's reply. Maybe because he was right but also it meant the farthar he went the more likely he'd find nothing to help his brother. "Vidarr, I urge you to go home and count your blessings. I'm more than happy to supply you with whatever you need and a guide back to dragonhome or starfall isles if you want. you have a new guest room made for you to use for the rest of the week. Rest up and gather your thoughts."

During that week he interacting with other inn guests and learned life in the plaguelands celebrated life as much as the gladekeeper but in a more morbid sense. That there also permanent residents to the inn that were as eccentric as they appeared, the strange use of bending the earth and clay around them to support life unaffected by the volatile strains, and bustling life he was surrounded by.

Most importantly the conversation between one horribly shady dragon he realized there was nothing more than plague hated beside nature was the undead. The Older mirror he was talking to absolutely bent over laughing at the idea there were 'zombies' walking around.

"an abomination of a thing I tell you. You're dead. You either didn't survive or passed away. the beauty is how you lived it and how hard you fight to live. Why would anyone then try to destroy that? Also what more can you do undead you're unsightly, freakish even....if I ever saw one I would make sure it was dead permanently" the older mirror had such venom her voice Vidarr dared not bring up his brother. She seemed like the type of mirror to go out of her way to destroy something she didn't like

From all this his new resolution was to repay those that saved him and step on was to get Kasios to convince the others into letting him work for all they did for him. Which proved to be very simple- Vidarr was employed under the mirror. No less than an hour after that he was thrown into the kitchen with her and a life of a sous chef had begun.

He now spends a lot more time with her and the others. Falling into a younger brother category within the pack Kasios holds. Lora considers him lucky. Telling him that if he never explained why he went to far lengths to come into the plaguelands she was going to toss Vidarr right back out to the rotrock rim once he repaid his debts.
