It was the only thing Wolnir knew how to do. It was the only thing he had to do.
No one would accept him if he came out of hiding. The shadows had befriended him for so long that it would be wrong to betray them.
Wolnir would continue to serve the light. It was his calling, after all, and who was he to ignore it? He simply wished others felt the same.
He would continue to serve, and he would continue to hide.
No one would ever have to know.
And yet...
Why did that make him sad?
