Reign

"Moonlight, have you finished that batch of beauty hexes yet? You promised them almost a week ago," Reign stated, giving the other purple coatl a questioning glance. Moonlight scratched at the feathers of his crest sheepishly.

"Ah, well, I'm not really...allowed to make them anymore."

Reign would have complained, but Patriarch Orik was always monitoring their potion making like they were children. He was such a grump, sometimes.

"Oh well. I guess Orik's sense of humor hasn't grown much. They were only temporary hexes, I don't see the harm in selling a few now and then."

Oasis, a third, more brightly colored coatl like Reign, came striding into the little potion shop.

"Patriarch Orik doesn't want you making beauty hexes because it is a mean trick, whether it does actual harm or not. You are mean, Reign, very mean sometimes. You can't always have your way, now hush about it," he commented, setting a box down on the counter in front of Reign. "Here's a new batch of Dragon's Claw remedy."

Reign shuddered and moved the box gently to the shelf they would be displayed on.

"How you manage to make those things, I can never fathom."

"Yeah, I mean, don't you have to collect the actual fungus that grows--"

"We all know how the potion is made, Moonlight!" Reign interrupted, not wanting to think about anyone having to drink or even use the remedy.

"Oh, don't be such a baby, Reign," Oasis chided. For a potion maker, Reign was awfully fickle about what went into some of the remedies that Oasis whipped up. "Get to work, now, you two. We're supposed to open soon."

After that, each coatl began organizing the new stock, all without saying much else. None of them were really morning dragons anyway.
