______ Sombay is a skilled light mage and he knows it. While everyone in the clan can agree that he is a talented mage they cannot stand his attitude. He is incredibly proud and vain much to everyone's chagrin.

Despite his behavior, he has a solid respect for his leaders and rarely goes against their orders. Whenever Twitch has to travel away from the clan and leave Umbra, he is usually the one to take over her lessons. The two do not get along in the slightest, and they frequently get into fights.

He has few close friends and spends a lot of time strutting around the clan showing off to others. The hatchlings adore him and his more gimmicky magic tricks.

______ His boyfriend, Rockheart is the only one who can seem to stand him for extended periods of time and the two generally hang out with each other. At first Sombay tried to be subtle about the relationship but Rockheart was very vocal about it so that didn't last long.

Despite his great pride in his magic Sombay has a dark secret. The reason he left his old clan was that of a spell gone horribly wrong. In his youth, he tried to find a way to make it impossible for Imperials to come back as Emperors.

Instead of keeping the clan safe he accidentally brought forth a behemoth of an Emperor. He along with the rest of his clan eventually managed to slay the abomination but many dragons lay slaughtered and Sombay was subsequently exiled.
