As a hatchling she was unable to control her bite (specifically the bite type). This could be put down to being a) a literal baby and/or b) a rare natural born vampire. In a freak accident involving Centennial (who had on that day been put on babysitting duty by his consort) she ended up turning the snapper, who in the following weeks started having confusing blackouts and cravings for raw meat. It was at this point that her genetics were scrutinised further, revealing her vampiric heritage to the world. Her brother, Vladimir, was palmed off on Sapphire who raised him into a murder child.

As Centennial's sire, he has a hard time saying no to her, despite being many years his inferior.

She carries the ability to shapeshift or "melt" into a pool of shifting darkness. More volatile than her brother, her power is attached to her emotions and is more often than not triggered as part of her fight or flight response.

Originating from the Wyrmwound, Bathory and her brother are the product of an egg borne infection that grants the affected hatchlings strange and beastly powers.
