The room was dark and dripping with what was hopefully water. Its thick metal door prevented the breaching of noise, and thus the room was deathly silent. A pile of torn and tattered performance clothes lay in the only dry corner. And in the center of the darkness lay what many considered a monster. Shivering and blinking in and out of consciousness, it lacked the strength to do anything but lay on the ice cold cement floor.
Most of its time was spent here. When it wasn't training or performing, it was here, rotting away. Nothing passed the time, but it didn't matter. Time was meaningless for the monster. It didn't remember how it got into the entire mess, but that was also meaningless. The only valuable thing in its life was pleasing the red tyrant. It despised it, but it also despised the screaming and threatening it got when it disobeyed.
As it began to drift into an unsatisfying sleep, it began to remind itself. Luka, it thought. Its name was Luka. Is Luka. Their name is Luka. And they're stuck as a Circus Monster.
