A calm, quiet noblesse of the deep ocean, Watercress was born in the Fishspine Reef. She formerly operated in a small ring of coatl sorcerers. However, upon the passing of her mate, Watercress chose to leave the ring in the hands of Izuka. Her deceased mate, Celery, had the ability to see into the future of those he spoke with. A formidable ability, yet one that constantly placed him at risk. Watercress concluded that it was this gift that did him in, and is somewhat fearful for her own life. Very few are aware of these concerns, as Watercress does a decent job of hiding her emotions behind an uplifting façade.
Celery’s gift was a contrast to her own ability, one that allows her to see into the past of any dragon she faces. She is respectful about using it, often restraining herself when an opportunity arises. A peculiar restraint for Watercress is that she can only speak when there is water in her gills. She blows her words out in the form of bubbles. This means that without a suitable amount of water nearby, Watercress is completely unable to speak. Her words are typically crisp, and Watercress makes a point to speak with a hint of formality. Her name proves lengthy, even for herself; she prefers to be referred to as ‘Cress.’
