Since the Clan of Selcouth Light resides in a series of tunnels carved in the ocean cliffs, most of their precious objects are buried deep within the elaborate stone passageways. With entrances only accessible by air, and any skylights reinforced with enchanted glass, it’s safe to say that the average thief would think twice before attempting to make off with anything of value. However, one of the most precious objects are kept outside in the open air. The nests of the clan are all above ground so the eggs may be exposed (and warmed) by the bright light of the Lightweavers domain. Traditionally, the eggs are laid in shallow impressions at the top of the cliffface where there are no trees to block the light. While the sea and steep clifface border the East, the other three directions do not sport any natural defenses, meaning that any intrepid beastclan members could easily grab an egg if they so desired.
Enter Callisto, the protector of the nesting grounds. With sharp eyes and a keen sense for shenanigans, Callisto maintains a constant watch for possible intruders that could wish to do harm to the precious brood. While extremely strong and physically imposing, Callisto does have a softer side. He’s often called upon to watch newly hatched dragons, whom he absolutely adores, and will keep them entertained with stories from around the Sornieth.
