There is a rumor within the clan, that Sol was born from sacridite growing with the wishes of the clan. This isn't the truth - she did have parents, was born a crystal dragon. But it isn't wholly wrong either, since sacridite is responsible for her current state.

As a young skydancer Sol carried around shards of sacridite crystal among her plumage. It always helped her use her empathy with her clan members. When she was attacked while gathering sand from the edges of the desert, these crystals saved her life. Her wish to go home, her mate's wish to see her again, the care of the clan, these wishes resonated with the sacriditie. It grew with the wishes, using the desert sand, and remade the broken crystal into her current form.

Her new existence has let her feel the energy of wishes. Sand, melted by the light into gold-glass can touch this magic the same way she can. Storing hope in bottles, Sol is ready to protect her clan in her own way - with miracles ready for those who need it.

(And since her rebirth, she has had a much easier time gathering in the desert edge - her new form blending into the desert sands)
