"My story is a long one. Let's start at the beginning. Young and dumb, I joined the clan with no intentions or expectations. In a way, it paid off, because here I am now. I was thrown out and nearly sent to one of the deities as fodder. Was I rescued? I wouldn't call it that, because I'm sure I would have been fine being sent out like that. Regardless, Dhishne invited me in and treated me like family from the beginning; she was a little distant at first, but always took care of her clan. I admire her a lot, and it's part of why I'm so grateful to have the role I have in Soteris today. During the rough years of Soteris, before it was named that, I ended up getting into some trouble with other dragons, it seems. I don't have much memory of that, to be honest, because of my amnesia. Oh, yeah, I didn't mention that yet. I have small bits of amnesia from when the clan lived in the Scarred Wasteland, and even some of the time we were in Earth Flight. I remember Dragonhome, and I remember some of the dragons who have since left the clan, but there are many gaps. Dhishne has been a constant, so I'm glad many of my remaining memories include her. She is my best friend, and as the clan scribe, we spend a lot of time reading her stories to fill in my memory gaps with knowledge. I look different? You must have seen the art of me. I do look different than before! Very much so, in fact, because of the accident. I don't remember it, but something happened near the Wyrmwound while we were living there. I guess I got infected with some disease, and though my ailments seemed to resolve themselves, it had long-term effects. I ended up like this, but I've been told that I actually look much better than before! I feel almost like a different dragon than before, but I'm complacent. You have to go? That's okay, check out some of the others, they're all interesting characters." |
