Biography

This virtuous pursuer has traveled far from his home lair (Volrin, #261879), on a world search for his criminal siblings! If ever you feel the need to exalt, he'd really appreciate it if you could just return him to his home lair, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here. This is not necessary, but he would be very grateful!

Buck's journey is dedicated to hunting down his thieving, murdering siblings, Weston and Katie; he will not rest until he brings them to justice. If either of these two happen to be in your lair when Buck arrives, be sure to write something about their... 'reunion.'

History:

"Weston... Katie... you won't run far. I'll bring you both to justice."

Unlike his nestmates, Weston and Katie, Buck refused to let himself be influenced by the twisted teachings of either of his parents. He had no interest in hunting for sick fun or bone collecting, much to his mother's irritation, and he felt no thrill or enjoyment after stealing the belongings of other dragons, to his father's great disappointment. Instead, Buck's virtues and sense of justice are strong; so strong, in fact, that he aims to become a great sheriff or clan guard when he grows up! Buck is absolutely disgusted with his brother and sister, who chose to become murderers and petty thieves like their parents had taught them, and has made it his goal in life to track down and apprehend them before they can hurt any more innocent dragons.

If he ever succeeds in bringing down his criminal siblings, Buck would like to maybe find a new clan to settle down in permanently. He refuses to ever return home to his vile parents, and imagines that they don't really want to see him around ever again, either.

Travel Log:

MightyVildaTilda: After setting out on his journey of justice, Buck had no real destination in mind. He was only a child when he set off, truly, and the first step was certainly one of the hardest. He had no experience, he wasn't very skilled and simply wasn't equipped to deal with the world. It was pure luck that had him crossing paths with a messenger dragon, specifically a messenger from clan Valhall. The messenger, Valkyrje, was heading back to the clan after dropping off parcels and letters. She saw Buck struggling to make his way forth, all awkward limbs and clumsy wings.

Being a softie at heart, she swept down and struck up conversation, wondering what a young one like himself was doing all on his own. And Buck told her his story, explaining that he was traveling and that he was searching for his scoundrel siblings. After hearing his story, Valkyrje offered to bring him back with her - Valhall often took in travelers and if he wanted to learn, to grow strong, they could surely help him. Valhall was overflowing with warriors, outcasts of many kinds, but all skilled and strong.

Buck agreed, figuring it was a good place to start his journey. He rode on Valkyrje's back, still small enough to be able to tag along with the spiral. And though he would admit to being worried as the winds got harsh and frigid, he trusted that Valkyrje knew what she was doing. And she did. She easily maneuvered the frigid lands and brought them to Valhall without injury, flying fast and steady. Once there, Buck found himself in a flurry of activity. He was swept away by Loke, the dragon in charge of travelers and such, and found himself with a room inside a massive, hollowed-out mountain. He'd barely gotten to see the lair itself.

The next days were just as hectic. He found himself a little stressed out by it all, not having expected things to be so very intense and overwhelming. A never-ending stream of dragons talked to him, sharing tips about tracking dragons and fighting and whatnot. Valkyrje tried to help him out and managed to get him a spot on the hunting team, whom he tagged along with to learn how to fight.

Weeks passed. Buck got used to the schedule at Valhall, starting to get used to the high pace and chaos and intensity. He grew stronger, bigger and learned. Mostly tracking and hunting, but he showed a talent for it quickly. And when he sat down, one day, the realization that he was actually getting comfortable hit him and he knew he had to go. He had a goal, he had things to do. Valhall was nice, but it was not to be his home forever and he had, for a moment in all of the chaos, lost track of why he was out there. The next day, he packed up some supplies and prepared to leave. He thanked the dragons of Valhall for allowing him to stay to long, for teaching him so much, and headed for the gates. He had to continue on.

And with some experience under his belt, a satchel of supplies and his trusty hat, Buck took to the skies and headed out into the world once more.

Drazerii: After his stay in Valhall, Buck took the tidbits he learned to make his way through the snow and found himself nearly freezing in the tundra. No one had prepared him for this, he had little clue to how to track his siblings through the ice, how could he? All evidence of anything happening in this wasteland would be covered in a fine white snowfall!
