Peacock wasn't expecting any trouble or drama on her stroll around the Churnscar Wharf, she just wanted to enjoy the sea breeze, the sound of birds, and the smell of the ocean. She wasn't one to hurry about anymore, she had been blessed with a long and productive life, watching many hatchlings grow and flourish under her care. She certainly wasn't expecting to find a very angry mirror dragon, injured by a fight and Daring her to take one step further on pain of death. It wasn't often she found such a spritely young thing in her old age now, mostly enjoying the comfort of the tides and other elders, but with all her years, Peacock could say with certainty she had enough experience with stubborn little dragons. Without much notice of the fire breath and other threats, Peacock lifted the young thing up in her jaws, and demanded to know where home was.
A long march later, with a spark of amusement in her eye, Peacock found herself quite comfortable in Cygnus's lair, being thanked by numerous worried dragons. It seemed she had yet more charges to look after, and one very bitter clan leader to mother.
