Jupiter originally came from a lineage of Lair guests who liked to breed in the Zephyr Lair because of the cozy conditions and Thekla's firm hand on hatchlings. Unlike his ancestors and parents, though, Jupiter settled down with the Zephyr Dwellers and must have had a strong loyal feeling for the clan.

During the Maegwin incident, he not only managed to maintain some kind of order together with the military unit, but also single handedly saved the lifes of the clan leaders and Cabanela, while the fighters chased down Maegwin.
After that, Jupiter was not only the biggest hero in history of the clan, but also got Undyne's position as chief of the Guard. And she's not even mad about that.
