Biography
"Cause harm to no one, and I really don't see why there'd be a reason to twist your tail in a knot over what other dragons do. Adventure for the sake of adventure... Now that's a dream!"
Stroud's mate, and more often than not his compass, JJ is a strong-willed, and strait-laced Ridgeback that had more than a little bit of an adventurous streak in her. Having met and befriended Stroud during one of his many expeditions, JJ took to him immediately upon discovering that while his love for treasure was real, there wasn't a truly selfish scale to be found on Stroud.
Believing in a love for the hunt, but also in the importance of never cheating another dragon, JJ joined forces with the industrious Stroud, and the two have searched high and low and all over Sornieth in their years together. Though their finds more often than not end up in the claws of other dragons, JJ is a firm advocate that simply finding and recording anything strange or shiny is a success in and of itself, and there's no real reason to not give back.
Having been guests of charity in many different territories due to their excursions, both JJ and Stroud are extremely well-read in the cultures of different flights and species. JJ in particular shows a strange penchant for diplomacy and bartering, and her keen-eye from many years of excavation has led her to be remarkably keen in the ways of trade. It's not uncommon to see the dark Ridgeback haggling with a local merchant, or getting into an argument with a vendor that had less than pure intentions on selling their wares.
Having ventured with Stroud into the Icefield, JJ finds herself now under the protection of the Frozen Stone clan while the dig through the snow and ice to find a new batch of strange and shiny things. While all of their finds are to be given to the holders of the territory, JJ is keen to repay their charity still further by helping with trade and item appraisals of the clan in the meantime, with the slow-simmering idea that perhaps, when she and Stroud seek to settle down for good, that this clan may be a good place to call home.
