You are a creature, gone but not forgotten. You are a memory, you wander this earth with no memory of who you once were. You are a ghost, spreading your pain to others. You are a zombie, cold and unfeeling, but not without pain. What purpose do you serve now? You are without one. Why are you here? You should not be. There's only pain in living now, why do you continue to roam? There is unfinished business everywhere you look, you aren't special. Give in to the afterlife waiting for you on the other side.

DESCRIPTION Draugr is not necessarily a vampire creature, but an undead monster that was once human, according to Norse mythology. The story behind the Draugr: A warrior who spent his life hunting monsters finally meets his end with his lifelong friend. Buried and sealed in a tomb with his partner, the tomb was eventually uncovered by bandits who were after the treasure that was buried with them. Unknown to the bandits, the man had risen as a mindless beast, who was held back in the tomb by his long dead friend, forever locked in a battle with each other. This version of Draugr is much more tame. Oh yes- much more. She is actually fairly pleasant to be around when she's not hungry or upset. She's one of the raiders under Berserk's command. Well... she's a raider. On missions Draugr tends to go off on her own, returning only at dawn, covered in a mix of dragon parts and bits that are unidentifiable and indiscernible from her own skin. The raiders are very careful around her. They know what she's capable of. |

Passage from "Cryptids of Flight Rising"
1978
Those infected by [REDACTED] find themselves prey to the creature's monstrous appetite. Nobody knows why this cryptid only seeks out [REDACTED], but for an already terrifying thing, there are bigger threats looming. Entire villages have been slaughtered by this creature in a single afternoon, only those unaffected were spared. Survivors say this red devil is covered in horns with glowing red eyes. They say it's some sort of demon dragon hybrid, as it appears mutated and feral. They also mention its terrifying groans as it hacks its victims to pieces, covered head to tail in the fresh blood. It has never been heard speaking, thus believing it to be a terrible offspring mutation of the beast clan. None know for sure where it came from but all know where it's been.

I had been patrolling the streets in a small town in the shadow domain after a call about suspicious activity. There had been a small argument over a lost scarf believed stolen but after a quick investigation it was found discarded in a nearby residence. On my way back, I took that back route, Winding Way, in the forest at around 8:35pm when a high pitched screech startled me. A red creature burst through the trees, clearly delusional. [clears throat] It never occurred to me that it had been [REDACTED]. Just as it reached about a foot away from, me a huge, bloodied mess of a creature came out of nowhere, grabbed the thing and flew it up into the trees so quickly I didn't have time to react. All I could think of was had I just imagined it? None of it seemed real. [long pause] When I came to my senses I followed the trail of blood the creature left. I eventually reached the body of the first creature. It was torn apart so badly the only way I knew it was the creature from before was because the blood trail lead right to it. I saw this oozing black though, that's when I suspected [REDACTED] and I ran.
