Biography

Hallow%20small%20bg_zpsleo9rxvs.png

Uh-oh, looks like this spooky spiral wandered a little too far from his lair (#46771, Alxamei), and now he's off to see the world! If ever you feel the urge to exalt, he'd really appreciate it if you could just return him home instead, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here.

Hallow started out alone and cold, doomed to exaltation after being thrown up to the auction house for mere pennies, unwanted and in heavy danger of being exalted. Back then, he was a triple basic Guardian with dull colors that no one bothered to give him a second glance. As he was bought up, he was scared and frightened, wondering which of the gods he was going to be forced to go to before he'd even had a chance to grow up. But to his surprise, this person didn't want to exalt him. In fact, before he knew it, his belly began to shine a bright orange color, and everyone in the lair marveled at his contrasting colors, and looked in awe at how well his beautiful shadow eyes complimented his overall spooky look.

He gained the name Hallow to fit his likeness to the colors of the holiday, and soon found himself once again changed, this time into a Spiral. He loved being able to twirl and squeeze places with ease, so happy playing with all the other dragons.

However, one day he decided that he should wander about and share his story with all the other dragons around the world, giving them hope that someone may notice their potential as his Clan recognized his. And so he set off, with many teary eyes from the Clan Alxamei, promising them that he would do his best to return to them eventually.

Hallow's first stop was with a clan of Light dragons. They welcomed the strange newcomer in, and he spent his days soaring with the skydancers and curling up with the spirals. The other dragons were surprised to hear his story, as no one could imagine Hallow as anything other than a perfectly adorable spooky spiral. Eventually, Hallow grew restless, and decided to seek out other clans and share his tale.

After spending time with the Light dragons Hallow found himself in a natural nook, green eyed dragons intermingled with unwanted dragons from other clans. They took him in with ease and enthusiasm, showing him their ways and listening to his tale. After a week or so Hallow then departed for more adventures, leaving with new friends and tales of wonder.

Hallow spent some time with some Arcane dragons. He had a good time with them but it wasn't long until he moved on.

After visiting a Nature lair filled with a close-knit family of dragons, he thought it might be nice to return to his own home for Halloween.

In a Wind lair he stopped in, several of the clan members were touched by the story as many of them had been on the exalting block themselves. They came together with a handful of other local clans and eventually provided two new scrolls for him as well as a candy bucket that matched his spooky aesthetic.

With his new appearance and Halloween fast approaching, Hallow decided to head home for the holiday and started his flight back. As he approached, the entire clan came to greet him, excited for his return, and complimented him on his amazing looks. Looking at how well his new items matched him, while Topaz looked him over a bit before giving him a scarf that matched his primary as well as the other items matched his other items.

After celebrating the Riot of Rot as well as his own holiday with his clan, Hallow began to itch for more adventure, wanting now to go see more of the world past what he had already seen. After a few sad eyes from the rest of the clan, everyone agreed that he never was one to just stay in one place, and sent him off with many well wishes, hoping that he would have fun and find many more clans along the way.

His first stop along his new adventure was south to the Icefield. There he met a motley crew of dragons who invited him to stay for a while as the first harsh snowstorm of the winter rolled through the tundra. The clan took him in as they would family, tugging him along whenever they explored the exquisite marketplaces which they so adored. After trying on a fancy new costume there, Hallow found himself being romanced by a love-stricken pearlcatcher, with whom he settled down with for a bit of time, bringing new hatchlings onto the earth with her.

The Ice clan, however, soon became preoccupied with their dominance efforts. Hallow learned that, though the dragons here were kind and accepting, their loyalty to the Icewarden was a big part of their life, and they could only accept those into their family who shared their views. Hallow stayed and tended to his young ones, bringing them food and enjoying the quiet closeness of his little family within the lair, until he and his mate agreed it was time to part ways. Then, with one last nuzzle goodbye, Hallow moved on, leaving the Southern Icefield.

After returning for a time at home, Hallow was victim to a large raid on the clan that left the clan with only each other and the most secreted away of their hoard. As the clan slowly began to rebuild, they realized that their material items were not a determinant of their worth, and were happy to have each other, now glad to just be a more simple tribe with little activity. Hallow decided he wanted to roam again, even if he no longer had his previous keepsakes that were lost in the attack. The clan sent him off happily as a beacon of the hope that even with their entire hoard stolen, likely never to be seen again, they didn't lose any of the clan, and that's what truly matters in the end.

Hallow's arrival at the light clan was weird, to say the least. He arrived at the gate and was immediately questioned by the guards about his "relations with the former queen" or some nonsense like that. All he could gather from the situation was that the local queen was recently overthrown and that loyalist groups were attempting to take back the throne. However, they allowed Hallow to stay, but he was forced to be with an escort "in case he got in some danger". Unsurprisingly, the escort seemed more focused on him and his activities than any outside threat. Hallow felt something weird about that place and the "escort" wasn't helping.
After a few days, Hallow decided he didn't want to stay longer, in fear of saying/doing something that might get him in BIG trouble and quickly left to the next adventure.
