Biography
Shamrock
"This is your chance," Shamrock told herself. "No more of your old life." The pretty green Skydancer, who preferred to be called Sham, was ready to join her new Clan. It might be a Shadow Clan, and Sham might be a Light dragon, but Sham thought she'd fit in well enough. Living among Shadow dragons was still better than her life before this golden opportunity had arrived.
Sham glanced at her guide. He was a massive, mostly silent green dragon who had introduced himself as Leprechaun, called Con. Like her, he was a Light dragon. But Sham could see a twinkle of mischief in his eye. She would need to be careful with him, as he was sure to be a trickster.
Con was guiding her around the territory when they spotted the rainbow. Rainbows were rare in the ever-dark Tangled Wood, and Sham stopped to stare in surprise.
"You know," whispered Con conspiratorially, "They say that rainbows, if your follow them, will lead to treasure. As in shiny gold money treasure."
Sham stared at the massive Imperial. This was sure to be a trick, and Sham wasn't a fool.
"Well," Sham said, snout curling up in a secret smile, "How about we follow it?"
As Con would soon learn, he wasn't the only one whose nickname was more than a shortened version of their actual name.
Because Sham was a trickster too.
