Born under the stretching canopy of the Behemoth, in Gladebough Village, Taen grew up in a clan she refuses to name. Raised by a small community of Elder nature dragons who all carried the privilege of raising the clan's children, she had many aunts and uncles and carers as well as siblings, cousins and friends.

Taen lived by the ways of the Gladekeeper, dedicating her life to one day being a druid of the Goddess. She had a natural affinity for herbalism and foraging that attracted clan druids to taking her on as an apprentice, however she had little patience for her fellow nature dragons. A disillusionment began to grow within her. The dragons of the nature flight were known to be caring and generous and communal, and they were. But Taen became frustrated with their naivety, they refused to consider any other way of life. To her clan, the dragons of other elemental deities were pitiful misguided things, living their lives wrong without the Gladekeeper's guidance.

Her clan would not survive like this. So loud and simplistic and boastful. Like all other elemental dragons were. Except for the ones she met coming from the Tangled Woods.
