Early Years
Adamas hasn't had an unhappy life. She was hatched in a Clan in the Windswept Plateau, and like most Wind dragons, she grew up friendly and adventurous, surrounded by a family and a Clan who loved her.
She grew quickly, with strong wings meant for flying great distances carried on the wind, and she started out as something of a courier, traveling from Clan to Clan with messages. As she journeyed, she observed many great structures constructed by dragons from across the land, and she began studying them closely, fascinated.
Eventually her work brought her to the Hewn City, where she met a group of Arcane archaeologists studying the aging architecture. She settled in with them, eager to hear them explain the workings of the crumbling structures.
Her days as a global courier ended then, and she settled in with the group of archaeologists, occasionally carrying messages between them and their native Clan back in the Starwood Strand. In exchange, they were happy to teach her what they knew of architecture - and she began to hone her skills. As time passed, Adamas became quite a gifted architect, and she would ply her trade as needed, earning extra income for her new Clan in the Starfall Isles, which they used to fund their research.
One day, a small group of young astronomers departed for the Sunbeam Ruins and a small Clan living in an observatory called the Luminarium, eager to hear lectures from the chief astronomer there - and also hoping for an opportunity to utilize said observatory.
Out of curiosity, Adamas decided to tag along. She'd seen the Observatory in which the Arcanist lived and worked, but she'd never had an opportunity to visit herself - such chances were a rarity treat reserved only for the most gifted scholars. So the chance to study a similar structure was too great to pass up.

A residing Mirror, Luus, took an interest in the Skydancer when she arrived, and, while her Clanmates crowded into the dome to listen to the lectures, Luus offered Adamas a tour of the rest of the place.
As they walked, Luus explained that she had built the Luminarium herself, but that it was in constant need of expansion to accommodate for Luminary's growing classes and the increasing number of permanent residents. Here and there, she would stop and point out things that had been added on as the Clan grew: a library, where Carpo often worked, or the study where Soleil and Notos could be found during the day.
Adamas listened, thoughtful, before she made a bold offer: she would stay and help Luus expand the Luminarium if there would always be a position for members of Clan in the Starwood Strand to come attend Luminary's lectures and use the observatory.
Luus seemed amused by this, but said that she'd discuss it with Luminary himself.
A few nights passed, and she told the astronomers of the offer she'd made. The Arcane dragons she'd adopted as family seemed positively delighted at the chance, albeit sad that the green-eyed Skydancer wouldn't be accompanying them home if Luminary agreed to her proposal.
Adamas was less upset by the idea; the Luminarium seemed to her like her birthplace in the Windswept Plateau, with dragons constantly coming and going and stories to be told. She knew she would be happy as a permanent resident in the Light Clan, and besides, if Luminary agreed, she would see her friends fairly regularly.
On the morning that the group was supposed to leave for home, Luminary stopped them to welcome Adamas to his Clan.
She's been living in the observatory ever since, helping Luus tend to the structures and expand it.
