Marikin

Marikin had heard tales of the battles his mother had when he was still so young and he decided he wanted to go out and do that too. he tried to fly out to a lower area of the Windswept Plateau but he got caught in a current that proved to be too strong for his Hatchling wings and he got swept away, across the ocean into the Starfall Isles. he then crashed into the Starwood Strand, where he was scared, hurt and lost. with nowhere to go, he wandered crying out for help, it was upon the setting of the sun that he was immediately calmed when he saw the beauty of the forest around him.
the admiration he had for the place was cut short when something attempted to attack him. Marikin closed his eyes waiting for the attack but it didn't strike. when he opened his eyes, he saw the creature torn to shreds and a Yellow Nocturne with red wings in front of him "do not be afraid", she calmly said to him "come on, I'll take you with me, you look like you've been through a lot". the Nocturne took Marikin to her den and raised him like her own child. While Marikin knows he's not the strongest, the beauty of the Starwood Strand still haunts him and it has inspired him to make art in hopes of one day capturing that beauty in his works.
