He (along with his hatchmates) were born hidden from the other dragons of the Sleepy Hollow Clan. Their parents were fearful that the clan leader, Xelnaus, would try and take advantage of their children's shiny coats and sell them into a not good life. Instead, their children were raised in fear, hidden in a tiny thicket and told to keep their heads low. It wasn't long before he took over as the ever watchful lookout. He could sit perfectly still for long periods of time, just waiting for any signs of movement. Upon sensing any danger he would rush to his siblings and make sure that the three of them were well camouflaged among the forest, not an easy feat when you are made of gems.

It wasn't long until the hatclings got too big to keep hidden. The three of them set out, each going their separate ways. He knew that it would be easy to find a job scouting for danger in another clan, and wondered just where he would end up...
