Saalua-- "Iraq's ancient folklore has the saalua, a half-witch half-demon ghoul that "is used by parents to scare naughty children". She is briefly mentioned in a tale of the 1001 Nights, and is known in some other Gulf countries as well." --Wikipedia

Saalua was traded by a friendly clan one might even consider a sister-clan (Reyechan) with the promise that she would be well cared-for. Babau protects and babies her as the favourite, as if Saalua were her own. Morko, as such, is rather fond of her as well. Saalua will grow up secure in the knowledge that she won't be exalted. Her and her similarly-aged companions Khokhan and Metminwi get along as if they were all from the same nest. This makes Babau very happy, looking forward to future nests.

Saalua seems to be a kind, peaceful dragon so far. When she grows up she'll probably be a bit more catty like most other pearlcatchers, but for now she's sweet, quiet, and though she worries, she's got an infectious giggle.

Having grown, Saalua is still exceptionally quiet and softspoken. She takes pride in her appearance and pays attention to others, but lives a sheltered life, so her gossip stays between her and Khokhan (Who remains her closest friend). She helps Lulu take care of new clanmates now, but seems to consider herself still one of the hatchlings in many ways. She remains worrisome, and her giggle remains just as infectious.

It has been a long time since she and Khokhan were too close. They remain good friends, but Saalua and Garrus became closer physically, and Saalua began to bond some with Garrus, despite his intense interest in the future.

Saalua finds it very easy to love another, and considers it a blessing to have such a loving clan. She wants peace for everyone. That said, she knows a thing or two about magic, too, and she's not afraid to show it if pressed.

Saalua matched all three bonus exalt criteria on 2/4/2015. Saalua politely declined the honour of exaltation to stay with her clan. In her place, Saalua sent her sons Aiton and WeaversValentine, the latter so named because of his chocolate/rose colours. WeaversValentine was brought to level nine, as a luck charm for the Lightweaver. Aiton was platinum like his mother, and therefore satisfied one of the exaltation criteria. He too was levelled to serve the Light Weaver.
