Tasko

Peacekeeper of the clan. Tasko was honored on September 23, 2018 with being voted Best Minimalist dragon.


Tasko led a peaceful life and encouraged others to do the same. Often he could be seen meditating in the forest with Candana or flying silently low over the waves with Sorcha. He was the clan's peacekeeper and took his job quite seriously. In addition, he was the clan's diplomat and kept the clan on good terms with the surrounding sea life and Maren clans.

Unfortunately, his life of peace stemmed from quite the opposite. He grew up in a period of unrest with a warring beast clan that threatened his village and family. When he was just a hatchling, one night the beasts came with crude swords which they used to destroy their village. He distinctly remembered the sound they made as they used them to rip through his tent, their jagged blades slicing through the canvas fabric.

His parents urged him to escape on his own and stayed behind to help defend and keep the beast clan busy. He was so scared, he had no choice but to obey and he ran as fast as he could. Flying would have been too noticeable on the icy plains and so running and getting through the caves was the best chance for survival.

When Tasko finally stopped running, the light had faded and he was alone. He knew as much as he wanted to run back, to check on them, it was too risky. Instead he slept as well as he could, and when he awoke, he kept running.

Years later, he checked back to the village and found no trace of them. Somewhere in the world he hoped they were okay, but there was no way to find them. Since that traumatic event, he vowed to do his best to prevent anything like that from happening again by training to be a peacekeeper.
