Biography
When Arenji burst into our realm, they had a physical form, but upon impact the god shattered into thousands of shards and the essence was spread all across Sornieth. Two of these shards, fed by the magic of Sornieth, grew sentient and able to shift into dragon-appearing forms. These two dragons tried their hardest to carry out Arenji's will, but the task was too exhausting. Therefore they decided to part - one would work during the day, the other taking on the night. During their hours they would turn invisible, shifting into their form many dragons dubbed "darklings". After a long time this schedule became habit, then compusion, then instinct. Split apart, however, the two dragons grew lonely. There was such a narrow amount of time for them to meet one another - dawn and dusk don't last long. Therefore they decided to have children together, these hatchlings imbued with the energy of Arenji's shards and the deep duty to Arenji's will but also minds of their own, wishing to go out into the world and explore as their parents always wanted to.
Daywalkers fly during they day. They turn invisible to pass the will of Arenji without the detection of their clanmates. Some choose to lurk in various coliseum venues, urging a dragon to dodge on low health or aiding their strength to acheive a critical hit. Others choose to mill around when dragons are scavenging and digging, burying that helmet you wanted just moments before it gets dug up. Despite what is delivering what is deemed as "good luck" by most dragons, these dragons should not be seen as "good". They often deal with the little situations that Arenji requires of them. Their tendrils coming off of their head often range from white-blue.
Nightwings, however, take on a different task. They bring what is deemed as "bad luck", but balance is necessary to protect Sornieth. These dragons are not inherently bad or evil. They add strength to a boss's blow when you're on a strong run in the coliseum, or move that eliminates just out of your gaze when searching. They carry out Arenji's will that says to withhold, but on occasion they are granted the power to gift something great and monumentous, of high value or something that you've been wanting a long time. They are only allowed to grant greater gifts occasionally, however, and must choose wisely. The tendrils coming from their head often are the colors of the sunset or night.
