Arcadia is a demigod, a first generation dragon created directly by Shadowbinder. She has the ability of sensing rifts which are hole-like entrances into other worlds. Her goal is to completely close their rift's entrance, to ensure the Shade will never return again and destroy everything she has worked so hard to build.

Arcadia is very serious and stubborn and she demands much out of others. This may be something leftover from her days as a hardened frontline warrior. She is very idealistic - both a fault and a positive. It and her determination can make her go to great lengths to achieve what she wants.

She devotes most of her time to her family and close relationships to try to escape her troublesome imagination and her issues, though this doesn't really work. She is a perfectionist: she absolutely loathes appearing imperfect in front of her subjects. So far, her public image is of the perfect queen, yet will this facade of greatness last forever? Could there be something else to the changes in her psyche?

HISTORY

She and her mate Pandora have the ability of sensing rifts, so they knew about the existence of the Shade, a living rift, ahead of time. She and Pandora escaped into a rift in The First Age just before most other demigods on Sornieth died. This rift was the Styx Rift, inside of which she built Aeonian. Some other demigods had gotten stuck there before or managed to escape with them. Her and the demigods' offspring built the queendom together. Almost no other dragons entered the rift for a while, but since time works differently in the rift, dragons from different times were able to fall into the rift. The first of these was her adopted daughter Mirai.

Arcadia and Pandora have taken in lots of magic into themselves during their time, making them very powerful, though not nearly as powerful as a true deity. Still, some cults and religions have formed around them, whether they like it or not.

She both hates and in a twisted way enjoys the fact that she's become a god-like figure in the eyes of many. Her loathing for her creator and the other deities for putting her and her fellow demigods through such suffering and still continuing to wage war beyond frustrates her, yet she is quite hypocritical at times, doing and ordering some of the same things her creator used to ask of her. She does enjoy having power. The elemental energies that have seeped into her during the years have started to affect her not only physically but also mentally. She wasn't meant to hold this much elemental energy, so it's starting to mess with her mind. She acknowledges this, yet at times it just gets too much. This has made her understand her creator more, in some ways.

She has done—perhaps—cruel things, things that she must justify to herself. She believes her goals are far nobler and less self-serving than her creator's. The ends justify the means, right? It's for the greater good of her realm.
