High Lady Illyn, Leader of Clan Agnidoom and Captain of the Agnidoom Rangers (also known as the Agnitic Leader and the Agnitic Ranger respectively), has jurisdiction over all Lords.

She’s a serious and kind of harsh personality, but also noble and never cruel. She considers it her duty to look out after dragons who are weaker.

Illyn became the captain of the Agnidoom Rangers once the Agnidoom Rangers were established enough that their founder, Khamsa, could step back.

Back when Zweitwo was leader of Clan Agnidoom, before he mysteriously vanished, Illyn and Zweitwo were constantly in debate along with the members of their circles. On multiple occasions they nearly came to civil war, and the main sources of conflict was Illyn's lack of respect for Zweitwo since she considered him weak, and the lack of a resolution over Agni Worship; Illyn wanted to reinstate it as an openly recognized practice in Clan Agnidoom, and the opposition–and even some members of her own party–took issue with that.

Even though Zweitwo is no longer around and Illyn has taken charge of Clan Agnidoom, she has not installed Agni Worship as the clan's official religion, preferring that the clan has no official religion. That being said, Agni Cultists are now more open about their worship than ever, and their numbers are increasing.

Illyn also has created more structure to Clan Agnidoom's governance, establishing departments and appointing heads (known as the Agnitic [insert title here]) to operate those departments. These heads form the Agnitic Council, which serves to facilitate communication between departments, advise Illyn, and carry out Illyn's orders to their departments. That being said, Illyn has final say over most matters.

Now that Illyn is leader she has less time for Agnidoom Ranger-specific matters, much to her regret. While still the Agnitic Ranger in title, these days Chrysanthi and Beowulf collaborate to carry out the work that Illyn used to do on her own. In addition, because Illyn can't sit on the Agnitic Council as both the Agnitic Leader and the Agnitic Ranger, she has Chrysanthi take the seat as Agnitic Ranger for her.

Illyn appreciates her comrades and demonstrates it in how she treats them with utter respect. Those who lose that respect tend to drop out of the Rangers for multiple reasons. Other than Chrysanthi, Beowulf is her most trusted Ranger–if she needs something done, Illyn goes to Beowful.

Wherever Illyn is, her second-in-command and mate–Chrysanthi–is never far away. Chrysanthi is probably the only dragon around who Illyn allows herself to be uninhibited. While Illyn never grew up with her eldest sister, Kyla, she found her way to the same clan by mistake and they have since connected. They're not similar at all, but Illyn is nevertheless fond of her.

Secretly loves flowers, roses being her favorite. It's something she shares in common with Chrysanthi, and they bond over them and make frequent gifts of them to each other.

Illyn is a fervent follower of Agni. However, due to the superstitions concerning Fire dragons in Clan Agnidoom, she is quiet about it. He was sealed long before her time by the Witch-King whose name was forgotten, but Illyn is of the belief that it is Agni's lingering influence on the clan that has allowed it to flourish despite the abounding strangeness of the clan's very existence. Illyn has gained immense popularity among the dragons in the clan who also worship Agni, to the point that it would not be wrong to say that she commands her own faction.

No one knows from whom Illyn learned Miragnitic or how she became an Agni Cultist. Some claim that Agni whispers to her from what forbidden depictions of his image have escaped destruction, or–to those who fear that the Witch-King's sealing was imperfect–that she is somehow receptive to what little of his spirit could escape his prison dimension.

She commissioned Neuschwanstein and worked with him to have a castle built for her and Chrysanthi. It's an ornate but foreboding structure that claws upward like strangled brambles, and gardens sprawl around all sides. There are a lot of roses, of course. Pleased with Neuschwanstein's work, Illyn appointed him as the Agnitic Architect and goes to him before all others for projects requiring an architect.

Of her niblings who call Clan Agnidoom home, Illyn's favorite was Sofr. She hoped that she could train him into taking on an actual job of high repute one day, and thought that he did a great job of winning public favor with his winsome, worldly persona and charity in delivering letters without expecting anything in return. She even taught Sofr some Miragnitic with the inkling that, should she take charge of Clan Agnidoom and should he become more serious, she could assign him a position of responsibility under her reign.

It's not certain what happened, but one day Sofr returned from his travels . . . changed. Strange spasms wracked his form and he unendingly spewed from his mouth unnatural, pulsating organs, ones that could not have come from his own body. Illyn dispatched him herself with one clean cut to behead him, and from the wound gushed more of the organs before Sofr's life ceased. While the body was removed from the city and burned following the strictest biohazardous material handling regulations, there is nevertheless great unease about the whole affair.

Is a distant maternal figure of sorts to Veha.

Friends with Loonornool and Duvich, albeit the latter is more of a working relationship.

After her older sister, Kyla, left Clan Agnidoom, Illyn spends more time with her brother-in-law, Hemiola. She's been trying to prod some ambition out of him, but he seems content to remain as he is as a performer.

Illyn is the one who removed Agnizwei out of Surtr's custody after finding out that not only was she a blood relative of Agni, but that Surtr had stabbed out one of her eyes immediately after her hatching following the discovery of her egg in his forge. Despite the importance of Agnizwei's existence, Illyn will never be one to claim skill at parenting, so she lets Beowulf be responsible for most of her upbringing while Illyn gives Agnizwei personal lessons.

Illyn can be tough on Chseir, but she never fails to let them know that she loves them.
