AT THE PEAK OF AN ICY MOUNTAIN...

Hevellum was the second to record his life and times in the cave in the Southern Icefield, and his story remains incomplete. A solitary soul, Hevellum was born in the Sunbeam Ruins, and soon decided to take to traveling, to learn about the world around him beyond the devout of his flight.

Hevellum's journeys went throughout Sornieth, but the first indication of his final journey speaks of an event which occurred near the Sea of a Thousand Currents. Having traveled there to learn about the Beastclans and their ways, despite the disapproval of his elders, Hevellum had been walking along the beach when a great whale, even larger than he, burst from the water.

The beautiful whale had a reflective back which showed the skies above and bore two spiraling horns which glinted in the sunlight. So astounded by the sight, Hevellum was frozen in place until the Skycrest Bicorn had already vanished, flying over through the skies to the Southern Icefield.

When Hevellum began asking around, however, his sight had not been recorded by any he met. No matter where he went, no dragon or being could recall seeing the flying whale, despite the shadow it cast on the ground or the unearthly cries it unleashed. Puzzling over the mystery for days upon days, Hevellum finally concluded that the whale could only be seen by himself, and swore to find proof it existed.
---

Hevellum's journeys took him throughout Sornieth, searching for the Skycrest Bicorn, and any account of its existence. His journals, discovered later frosted over in the cave in the Southern Icefield, contained hundreds of pages filled with sketches of the bicorn and similar creatures, accompanied by long scripts waxing poetic over its meaning and listing facts about the creatures it resembled.
---

His journey would eventually take him to the Viridian Labyrinth, where he met a dragon known as Erthelron. Erthelron, much like Hevellum, had seen a Skycrest Bicorn headed for the Icefield. The forest-borne dragon was considered a strange hermit by all but Hevellum, who believed Erthelron's account fully.

Erthelron guided Hevellum through the forests until the pair reached the edge. Wishing each other well, they then parted, with Hevellum headed off to the more dangerous places near the Southern Icefield.
---

Somewhere much closer to his goal, Hevellum met Mizzumree.

Mizzumree knew quite well what Hevellum spoke of when he inquired from the fae - who had been collecting ice shards to shape for her mistress, Sythlar - if she had ever seen a Skycrest Bicorn. She chose to withhold her knowledge until she could discover if Hevellum was truly the virtuous dragon he claimed to be, rather than just a rumour-hunter set on discovering things better left unknown.

Choosing to travel with him, Mizzumree made as much of a pest of herself as she could. Testing his patience and poking at each slumbering part of his person, Mizzumree soon learned all there was to know about the young Light flight Acolyte.

Never did Hevellum ask her to leave, despite his own discomforts. His kindness and virtue proven, Mizzumree judged him worthy of her knowledge.

Leading him to a dense, frigid fog, Mizzumree announced that the Skycrest Bicorn - and its mistress, her queen Sythlar - could be found at the peak, in a castle cast from ice. Determined, now, to learn of its secrets, Hevellum thanked Mizzumree for her help and went on his way.
---

Hevellum was never seen or heard from again. His records frozen in ice suggest that, like many dragons, he never did escape. However, rumours on the wind of an icy clan ruled by an Imperial king and a skybound queen continue to travel to this day.
