'She is in no way a poor leader, Sybil has demonstrated wisdom beyond her years. She knows each member of her clans strengths and weaknesses, delegating positions to suit.
It's her vanity that clouds her judgement. She is a beautiful creature and she covets beauty. She brought a poisonous dragon into our fold and isolated him from herself with her grand expectations. He did not respect her, and as a result we all suffered from his actions. He should have been torn asunder when he defied her so openly, but instead he lurks amongst us. She may be wise beyond her years, but her youth holds fast to some romantic naivety. I do hope it will not destroy us'

Sybil stared down stared into the shallow wavepool, no larger then an elder dragons print. She forced her focus past her reflection, instead to the pools loomy bottom, where a tiny pearl caught the displaced light. The itching in her hide had ceased hours ago, when the pearl first caught her attention. There was no more call in her heart, tugging her with unseen bindings. This was her charge.

She dared not touch it, less she force it into the sand and risk it's loss to her for ever. But she knew she couldn't spend her life protecting the wavepool it resided in. So many threats faced it there.
