The Mother Dragon

A stern and no-nonsense ruler, she makes sure everything is in tip top shape and running smoothly. She founded this clan from the ground up, and would gladly lie her life down to protect it. She was left to rule alone when her co-founder Laroyor (https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/3883085) received a prophecy about the destruction of their den. He set off to find new lands they could survive in, and would not return for many years.
She kept this prophecy in the back of her mind, being very cautious and keeping it a secret from her brood.

She never had a true mate. She held feelings for a Skydancer from another clan once, but he passed away before he could even see their eggs hatch. Since his passing she has never taken on another romantic partner, but has still hatched many eggs since. Her firstborn daughter Avekir (https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/4012283) is her successor, and her closest family. As the crown princess, Lirael has tried to teach Avekir everything she knows for when she inevitably passes away.

When Laroyor finally returned with a new home, she was wary. She agreed, but knew that leaving their current home and patron diety behind could not be without consequence. To guarantee safe passage for her clan and the ability to survive the freezing temperatures she made a deal with the Icewarden in secret. She offered her power, loyalty, and very life if required. She was accepted, but in turn she became the very ward she so sought. Her very body began to freeze over, much to the concern of many.
She assured them it was a gift from the warden, and to continue as normal. Though she can tell she still has lots of time, her body grows weaker and stiffer by the day. She no longer joins her generals on the field and spends much of her time resting.
Her daughter Avekir has stepped up to help her mother in ruling the clan, and to tend to her when the "blessing" gets worse.
She's aware she will one day be nothing but a statue made of ice, but until that day comes she will do whatever she can for the good of her people.
