Biography
Faust was hatched as a Guardian, alone and parentless, in the deserts of the Shifting Expanse. She does not remember much of her early days, up until the point she found her mate Marcel. He was a scrawny ball of purple fluff, tiny even for a Tundra, and certainly no use defending himself against the roving bands of beasts and hostile dragon clans that roamed the desert. However, she was drawn to care for him. She knew he was like her, young and scared, with no family to speak of. He was not scared of her despite her larger size. He had sniffed her for a long time, all over her body, and after that was completely at ease.

The two wandered together for a time, and eventually settled down in a quiet area of the Highland Scrub. Others joined them, and soon the small rag-tag pair of dragons had started their own clan. Faust led her new clan well, and was proud to do so, eventually realizing that her clan itself was her Charge. As their ranks grew, they migrated throughout the Shifting Expanse, finally settling in the Tempest Spire at the side of the Stormcatcher himself.

As a bonus for her hard work one quarter, Stormcatcher bestowed a boon upon Faust and turned her into a Ridgeback. After her transformation, her personality became a curious mix of the distinctive traits from her birth species and her new species. She retained her fiercely protective Guardian instincts, and gained a Ridgeback's cunning and loose sense of morality.

She will do anything for her clan, and believes they deserve the only best. This sometimes results in her ""borrowing"" resources from neighbors-- food, materials, apparel, even a dragon's dear familiar. Marcel does his best to curb her borrowing, and always returns resources as soon as they are missed with a sincere apology to their owner and a scolding for Faust (she is not deterred by this, and thinks she just needs to get better at avoiding his notice).

Recently, she moved the clan to the Tangled Wood, where they are laying low and keeping out of others' notice.
