Biography
Origin story by Kinged wrote:
I had sat and watched the creation of this beast on the terraced ridges of an ancient mountain. It was a delicate matter, the workers waking early before the rising of the sun to resume chipping away at cool stone, slowly revealing the captor of their attention; a rather large vein of jade. It slithered up towards the great peak like a shimmering serpent, invoking awe to those who were fortunate enough to lay their eyes on such an enchanted sight.
The project was time consuming, the days and nights melting together in a leisurely pace that made one forget the passing of time. Clearly, the ornamental mineral had captivated everyone present with its beauty. The more superstitious of the locals whispered about its magicks, how it had cast a spell to bewitch eveyone in a desire of envy—but that was far from the truth. In fact, the jade invoked a sense of peace and tranquility upon those who ventured close, and I observed how it brought easy smiles to the workers who so cautiously removed it from the sacred mountain.
When a large enough chunk of jade was removed, dragons who were experts at their own craft took over, shaping the stone into one of their own kin. They were as cautious as the workers themselves, taking their time to include details only an untrained eye would miss. He was meticulously painted after his form took shape— swirls of white and light green trailing across his intricately carved scales.
His eyes came last, two fascinating gems of peridot attentively placed within their sockets. As soon as his sight was obtained, life was breathed into the gentle golem, the spirits of the mountain flushing him with the color of life.
And so, much to my delight, Keir was born.
