While she refuses to declare herself as any more than a healer, to her clanmates she is a leader, even more so than her mate, Maverick. She has a motherly personality and tends to care more about the wellbeing of others rather than her own. She's shrewd and her decisions are deeply driven by logic, making her come off as cold and disinterested to some.

Looks can be deceiving with this skydancer. She walks with a limp and struggles to fly, her bones are brittle, and her feathers molt frequently all as a result of being poisoned by her original clan as a sacrifice to their deity. She survived and fled to the land of survivors in hopes that the Plaguebringer would accept her. As a result of her weakness and desire to survive, she's become dangerous with magic and is by all means a force to be reckoned with.

She is currently leader of the scavenging half of the original clan and has assumed this role since Maverick's mysterious disappearance. Maverick's absence pains Vellemere, and she can't help but feel

somewhat betrayed by his actions. However, above all her duty is to remain with her clan and lead them, thus she has limited any attempts to find Maverick again. This pride in her duty has resulted in a growing rift between her and her daughter, as Enkara feels getting revenge and finding her father again should be their first priority.

The charm was Maverick's first gift to her, after her healing granted him improved control over his talons again. It's a braided band infused with arcane magic. It's presence has become more common since Maverick's disappearance.

What's your name? Maverick, huh? You don't really look like a Maverick. But I no longer look like a Vellemere. My parents told me it means "spring flower". Well, I guess spring flowers have to wither some time. I've found that people in Plague don't care so much for looks. I could lose the rest of my feathers and be covered in postules and I'd just fit in more. It's a relief really. I can relax here.
