DAYDREAM
Clan Founder

Daydream is an odd little dragon, for a Fae. Being raised by an Imperial outside of a colony, she expresses emotions more like other dragons than the Fae, which makes it easier to interact with the many other kinds of dragons that have joined her Clan. Starting a colony of her own wasn't something she ever thought she'd do, as she liked the simple companionship that she had wandering the Tangled Wood with Dewsplash and didn't know how to "speak" Fae, but now that she's founded one and even had hatchlings of her own, she's willing to lay down her life for each and every one of the dragons in her Clan if need be.

Daydream is a loyal dragon, and naturally tries to protect any dragons in need that she comes across, willing to accept anyone and everyone into her Clan, even if it's only temporary.

WIP

Daydream was abandoned as an egg within the Driftwood Drag, left behind by her parents for reasons she still does not know. She looked after herself as a nameless hatchling, hiding among old dams and old Fae nests built into the trees while she hunted and grew. She had tried to join a few colonies here and there, but the odd little fae who didn't know how to speak her own language was chased away again and again, until she met Dewsplash, an old Imperial who had been wandering on his own in the Tangled Wood. Though she was afraid of this massive, battle-scarred dragon at first, he proved to be very gentle with her, and became a sort of guardian to her.

The two of them then spent their days together, Dewsplash teaching her the things she couldn't hope to learn on her own and protecting her from the BeastClans and other dangers the Tangled Wood had to offer. As she grew up, she grew more powerful--she possessed a strong connection to Shadow Magic, seeming to have a larger source of magic within her, something not common for her species.

While Dewsplash and Daydream were practicing her connection with magic, they were found by Darkscale, a Fae seeking to start his own colony after his was destroyed. At first their relationship was rocky--Daydream still didn't understand how the Fae interacted, having been raised by Dewsplash--but they soon grew close, Darkscale easing into a new way of speaking while also teaching Daydream about the Fae.

The two only grew closer as time went on, and eventually Darkscale convinced Daydream to start a new colony with him, even though it wasn't something she'd ever anticipated in her future. The two got to making a new home, when Dewsplash came to Daydream to let her know he was leaving to wander the Tangled Wood again, now that she'd found a new home and family. Daydream, truly distraught for the first time since her hatching, realized she had no interest in making a typical Fae colony. She still wanted to share a colony with Darkscale, but not like that--she went to him and told him everything, how she wanted to make a colony that included Dewsplash, and anyone else who needed a home.

Darkscale easily agreed, and the two halted their work on a new lair to figure out how to accommodate dragons with other needs than them. And soon enough, the three of them began to find lone, wayward dragons who had ended up in the Tangled Wood for one reason or another. One by one, their lair grew in size, until dragons started having hatchlings.

Now, things are peaceful for the growing Clan, but Daydream can feel a shift in the elemental magic that covers the Tangled Wood. Something dangerous is coming, and she's determined to keep her ragtag Clan safe, no matter the cost.
