When he was first exiled from his previous clan, King went searching for another and came across Phobic. He discovered his siblings there had misbehaved and become the eyes of the Leader, and King immediately made an attempt to leave. He was halted and beaten bloody, losing feeling in his body. When they dragged his limp body to the mercy of the Leader, King pleaded and the Leader pitied him the slightest. The guards tore out King's tongue and threw him into the Lockdown Prison, the highest security on the land. King's grotesque appearance worried the other prisoners, and King sought to reclaim his status as the top. After meeting the dragon Xeno, he "asked" where to go next. Xeno told him to escape his "sanctuary" and go North, towards the mountains where Frost lie. Helpfully, a heated fight arose in the prison, and King escaped through the disabled electric sky border. He flew until he couldn't fly anymore, and climbed into Frost's palace, where she restored his beauty and his honor, at a price. He wasn't allowed to leave the mountains for five years. King didn't think about the offer, and freedom was his nature. He had accepted, and is now stuck in Frost's domain.
