"Darkness is followed by the silence around here.
Nobody is quite safe, no matter where you are, who you're with, or where you try and hide.
Unless you're with me, of course. I've been around a time or two.
Hell isn't so bad, you know.
Walking across the fallen, ashen wastelands, keeping warm by the couple of fires burning here and there. Hell is a surprisingly cold place. Frigid like the hearts of those who walk the barren lands.
Sometimes you come across the bones of the fallen, sometimes you run into a live one that has lost their minds and will stop at nothing to kill you, again. Savages around here. When its silent, that's when you need to start running. The insane are surprisingly quiet killers.
See these scars? Yeah, they don't ever quite heal. We just keep changing the bandages and hope the blood slows before we bleed out around here. I mean, if we bleed out it doesn't matter anyways, because you just re-spawn like a game and start all over again. A bright flash of fire, reliving how you died all over again, which in my case wasn't the highlight of my life, per say. And then you're walking again for what seems like forever - Each step just a little more painful than the last. At this point though, I think my soul hurts more than the wounds she keeps giving me...
Sometimes if you can manage to get lost in your own mind, that's better than this place.
But its short lived, you know, because its hard to ignore the bitter cold under your feet.
One step at a time to an inevitable ten-thousandth death over centuries that you've been here. You either freeze, bleed out, or go insane, whatever comes first.
Well, happy birthday to me. Here's hoping we can only die once again today. Cheers."
