Biography
Name: Nacyl
Mate: Fryr
Rank: Patriarch
Gender: Male
The ancient and undisputed leader of his clan, Nacyl hails from the Scarred Wastelands. Years of violent confrontation leave the lanky dragon scarred and cautious, and eventually drove him to seek out calmer climes in which to raise his own clan. Picking up refugees and combat veterans along the way, Nacyl and his clan helped Tzaro's nomadic clan defend itself for a time. During their intermingling, Nacyl mated with Tzaro's daughter, Pippy, siring his own son, Wight, as well as two others in Tzaro's clan. He also took in Meeno, another of Tzaro's children, as a personal guard. Eventually, the wandering clan found a suitable territory in the Tangled Wood to set up a more permanent home. The darkness suits the clan's guerrilla styled tactics as well as keeping the lair hidden from prying eyes. Extremely territorial, few dragons and fewer beasts are willing to encroach on the well established lands of Nacyl's clan.
Nacyl is a hands-on leader, leading through example. He leads most hunts, and is a front line defender of the clan. His wisdom and his experience gained from his dark past allow Nacyl to effectively quash any offense to his clan. Relying on the advice of his age old friend, Gris, and the divination of his new mate, Fryr, Nacyl will inevitably lead his clan to glory, regardless of any hardships they may encounter.
The recent near-destruction of his ally-clan has left Nacyl dark of late. Many close bonds severed in an instant, and he could only stand by helplessly. Upon returning from a vastly successful hunt in the nearby tangled woods, Nacyl found his mate writhing on the floor, her divination tools scattered about chaotically. What could be considered intelligible amidst the sounds spilling from her maw hinted only at death, destruction, and calamity. Nacyl sprung into action, calling Crem to see to his mate while he himself saw to fortification and advanced scouting. Yet, it was all for naught, as when Fryr came to, she told Nacyl what she had seen; not their own destruction, but that of Tzaro's clan. Only a few hatchlings and their valiant defenders had escaped. Nacyl's close friend, dead. His own children, lost to his age old enemies. Nacyl can scarcely be found in the tangled woods now. He is often out alone, hunting packs of plaguebeasts that stray too far from their homelands. His clan mates worry that his wrath will get the best of him, but he has yet to return with anything short of total victory. For now, the Tangled Wood seems safe.
