About

Originally born as a plague dragon, Solomon has always been a bit eccentric, having been from a clan with a very different culture than the one he is in now.

As of now, Solomon is a quiet dragon. He prefers to bury his nose in a book, always translating texts and encoded messages that the clan gives him. Some matter very little in the greater scheme of things but he loves to keep his mind active and won't say no to any challenge. He also keeps track of their clan's history dutifully, writing tome after tome of details regarding what they have been through. He keeps track of every nest that is born, names, everyone's job, who is mated with who, lineages, and much more.

Even his free time is spent usually participating in activities that keep him thinking. Puzzles and Chess with other dragons is always fun for him. He also likes to study the body language of Fae in order to understand them on a deeper level. He knows he will never be able to speak the Coatl's native tongue but he has a light grasp on understanding their language. He also likes to read up on all the species to make sure their clan is taken care of the best possible and everyone has what they need in the way of comfort and diet.

But be careful, if you catch him whilst he's doing his job or focusing on something, he can be a bit rude and bossy. Most dragons avoid him during his work hours for fear of being snapped at with the wrath of a thousand suns and whatnot. The only one who seems to get away with pestering him while is mind is elsewhere appears to be his mate, Reya.

Origins

Solomon spent a few hundred years in the Plaguelands, merely doing what every dragon in that area does to survive. His clan was not desirable in the least. Savage and animalistic, he barely remember most of his early years as for all intents and purposes, he was just like them. He thrived in the famine and disease, befriended those would would sell your soul for a scrap of meat, and grew used to the acrid and sickly sweet scent that clung to the air.

Some of the worst memories stick to his brain like glue, no matter how hard he tries to scrub them away. When he left he had to completely relearn how to live amongst other dragons who weren't fueled by rot and wouldn't fight tooth and claw for spoiled meat. It was a long process, but luckily he had hundreds more years to adapt.

He found the land of fire and embers to be a good substitute. Many dragons there were still just as aggressive and loud but there was more semblance of unity. More decency. He was quick to join the first clan that would have him and the first thing he did was begin filling his mind with anything and everything in an attempt to push memories of his past out of his mind. As long as his attention was busy with other things, it was too busy to think of the horrors he had left behind.

He met his mate not too long after and she has been his anchor through thick and thin since. She is also the only one who can calm him after he wakes up from his night terrors where he swears he is back there, staring down into the Wyrmwound and awaiting to inevitably turn into something...not dragon.
