As the clan founder, Ashiara has been with it from the start. She saw it grow from just her and Zira to the large, bustling lair it is today. She has been a constant, if somewhat uncertain, leader to the clan.

Ashiara's first clutch was with Zira, the other clan founder, but they soon parted ways. Afterwards, she was wooed by Kierre and the two have had two nests together so far. All of her children have left for the Observatory.

Her small size and difficulty communicating with her clan have led her to become a bit of a recluse in her small, spun-sap nest at the top of the lair. Mostly it is Azailie and Kierre's support of her that gives her plans weight, though admittedly she is a skilled mage and has not yet steered the clan wrong. (She often works with her Arcane Sprite to conduct further research into the Esoteric Arts.) She likes the quiet of her nest to further her magical studies, and gets testy when her clanmates bother her too frequently. She has taught Candy and Ruko the art of ward-weaving to protect the lair from wayward magics, and often gives tips and pointers to dragons still learning magic.
