Abhainn

Abhainn is a lonesome sort of dragon. He has spent his life travelling across Sornieth, only recently settling in a bog not far from the lair of the mighty Niv-Mizzet. Due to his nature (as well as his heritage), he doesn’t typically go out in search of companionship. He can be standoffish, unused to interaction with others aside from being potential food sources, and usually speaks in a dismissive and deadpan voice.

Abhainn is opposed to flat-out murdering his prey, preferring to allow natural drownings in his mire or coaxing them in with the promise of gold and jewels, after which they become captivated and drown themselves in greed. This is only when the need for sentient flesh consumes him; otherwise, he tries to make due by travelling to rivers to catch fish, or foraging for berries and fruit in the forests. As is his nature as a kelpigon, he does occasionally draw stray Serthis or the occasional wayway dragon into his home, but he’ll let them go unless they’re especially elderly. To try to dissuade this behavior, he’s formed a makeshift fencing beneath and in the murk out of stinging nettles and poisonous mushrooms.

He can be a bit of a pushover, and can be easily coerced into matters that don’t concern him. However, he becomes headstrong in regards to his most honored beliefs.
