Firenze acts like he's the hottest commodity in the clan, but the truth is that most of his clanmates merely tolerate him. His flashy appearance caught Naza's eye, and his skill for magic made her invite him to stay. She failed to learn that Firenze is specifically a Hex, meaning that most of his magic comes with unforseen consequences. He tries to keep this under control, but it's the reason most of the other dragons don't like him. No one appreciates it when their brand new cloak gets singed by the clan Hex.

His apprentice is Acacia, the Coatl seamstress with a knack for enchanting items. Naza recognized her talent and assigned Firenze to be Acacia's mentor in the arcane arts. Firenze resents Acacia for her natural ability with magic, as well as for Naza's favoritism of her.
