Alva is essentially the hippie lady in the apartment complex across the street. She loves flowers and loves making crowns and corsages for dragons. She’s very sweet and very delicate, preferring to avoid any and all fights. Alva might hang around for support, but if a fight is involved she is most likely going to flee. She can be found perched on the horns of Lelantos, her platonic mate. They both arrived at the same time, when the clan resided in the Zephyr Steppes, then migrated to the Fishspine Reefs. While considered the "grandmother" of the clan, she's not actually that old. She just has the air of wisdom about her that makes her seem older than she is.

Alva has had her Amaranth Moth for most of her life. Despite being unable to tell whether it should be classified as flora or fauna, Alva has named the moth Flora after her love of flowers. Flora is absolutely ecstatic when Alva goes flower hunting, fluttering about behind her master and disappearing into the fields.
