"I survived because the fire inside of me burned brighter than the fire around me."

Kindre’s life began in fire, and she thought that it would almost be her undoing. The Ashfall Waste had been her home since her hatching, and up until the events that shook her life to it’s core, she thought that would always be so. After maturity she had moved on, deciding to try and make a Clan on her own with her mate, Grigori. At first, it was just those two; and then there were four, then six, then fifteen, and soon-- the Clan was flourishing. They appealed to the Flamecaller for more land, which was granted.

They continued to grow and grow, constantly changing and expanding until they had the need to move once more. The Clan had packed, and was on their way to their new home in the Blacksand Annex when disaster struck.

Halfway into moving the Great Furnace suddenly erupted, lava spilling down the sides and ash choking the dragon’s beneath. Kindre watched as most of her Clan burned, unable to see through the ash and smoke until the molten rock was lapping at their heels. She suffered burns across her whole body, her limbs burning as she tried so desperately to save her children.

After the ash had settled and her burns had healed, she fled the land she had grown up now terrified of the giant volcano that loomed above them, stretching into the sky. She sought refuge wherever she could find it, pleading to whatever God or Goddess that would listen for land to call her own, each turning her away until the Lightweaver listened to her plight. The gleaming Goddess took pity on the burned and blinded Mirror, and welcomed her to her domain with open arms, where she resides to this day, watching over her new children-- living free from the fiery beast in her homeland.
